HCG Vets doing another round...

There are a few vets on FB that are in the middle of a round or about to start one. It seems most of them are doing pellets b/c they are tired of shots. As for me, if I ever decided to give it another go I would stick with my injections b/c it's easier for me.

If you are looking for support on your journey you can try HCG forums or look up HCGers on FB. To find HCGers on FB just type in HCG and you should be flooded with people who have HCG in their names. Also, a good forum is www.4hcgsuccess.com or www.hcgdietinfo.com.

I started out on the latter site but moved with the other vets to the new site, the former.

HCG Load Days

I learned a few tricks about loading over the time I  was on HCG. The most important thing is to stick with protein and fats. Stay away from chips, bread, rice, etc. I love to eat cheesecake, ice cream, Johnsonville sausage, pre-packed hamburgers with bacon in them, ribs...you get the idea.

Before you start make sure you have read "Pounds and Inches" and you know exactly what you are getting into. This diet is hard b/c it requires willpower. You have to be in a good place mentally before you begin or your round will be a disaster.

I would stay away from alcohol b/c it will cause a big jump on the scale and it's really no reason for it during loading.

It is important to remember that you are supposed to eat to the point where you want to vomit. Loading is the only when you can gorge and it is acceptable. Don't beat yourself up or feel guilty about how much you are eating. It is your job to eat this much or you will be extremely hungry the first week on P2. You will not be happy and will definitely know you load incorrectly. (Trust me, been there...)

Take your dose before you eat and wait at least 30 mins. When I tried taking my shot and eating right after it made me sick within mins. The earlier you take you dose the better. That is for loading and during your round.

If you have any question or are not sure about what to eat, ask. There are plenty of veterans including myself that would be happy to help you.

P2 Teas...

While on P2 I had plenty of tea. I'm not a big water drinker and tea saved me and my losses. I used diffferent flavors: orange, cinnamon, blueberry, peppermint, spearmint, honey vanilla, jasmine, etc...you name it I tried it. However, no matter what flavor tea I used, I always mixed it with Oolong tea (a strong green tea) to make sure I receive some benefits to having so much tea. I also tried Yerba Mate but I couldn't tolerate the chocolate version...stalled me for some reason.

My advice to anyone trying to figure out what teas to use is to buy whatever flavor you like. I found that only one tea caused me issues. I would also say to mix it with a green tea.

This is the one I ordered from Vitacost.com. I paid $5.04 for a box of 100.

I still mix my teas with this one even when I'm not on P2.

HCG is what you make of it

I started using HCG long before it became so popular. When I started it was more underground and secretive. Now I hear ads on the radio on a regular basis. There are clinics springing up every where. It is amazing to see how popular the diet has become. However, despite the diet' growing popularity there are still critics. HCG is like any other diet: It will work for some and not for others. The diet requires disciple that some people just cannot handle. There are some who don't follow the diet and cheat non-stop then they want to say the diet doesn't work. There is a difference b/t being rogue and cheating. When considering the diet you have to be in a good place mentally and you have to honest with yourself as to whether or not you can stick to the plan.   You are the in charge of your own fate in life and with this diet. Don't set yourself up to fail and by no means call the diet a failure if you don't follow it completely. Please make sure you read "Pounds and Inches" thoroughly

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Finally Done....Now What?

Well I have decided to end my journey with HCG. I am down to 143 and looking great. For some reason, the last time I was this weight I was a size 9/10. The funny thing is I recently gained the weight that I needed to take off. So, it's not like I was this weight 10 years ago. Heck, it was less than a year since my weight gain. Now, I am a comfy size 7/8 and a tight but breathable size 5/6. I have love stealing my 12 yr olds jeans and having her complain. It is normally the other way around. I luv how this is working out. Some people have asked what I eat and I say whatever I want. I didn't follow P3 correctly b/c I realized in my last few P3s, if I eat decent and exercise I wont' blow up. The only issue I had on this last one was a temp water weight gain of 10lbs. That was lost in two days with the help up my diuretic. I haven't done a steak day and for the first two weeks I didn't bother to get on the scale. It wasn't until a dr's visit that I decided to check out the scale. I am more focused on my measurements than the number on the scale.

This an old post that I found hanging out in my drafts.

HCG Thought

I started a short lived HCG round in Jan. I had to stop b/c I had complications due to my medication and medical issues. This round was the first time I ever had any issues with my cycle or hormones. My Gyn pulled me off my last round and I can't say that I was too upset about it. The whole bleeding non stop made me want to give up after only a week. I was discouraged to say the least. However, I know that HCG does work and I'm considering another round. The issue is to make sure my body is ready and I don't have any complications. Right now, I'm on Atkins (off and on) but I've been spoiled by the quick losses of HCG. As you all know, I'm a rogue HCGer and I've tried some of everything while on the diet. I will keep everyone posted on what I decide.

I would like to add, if you have any questions feel free to ask. I still help people on youtube, facebook, and by email. Send any questions or topics you would like me to discuss to: lowcarbtiki@yahoo.com

Getting Excited!!!

I'm looking forward to the quick losses again. I think I have enough will power to do it for 21 days. I'm sitting here thinking about what I want to eat on my load days. Yum Yum! Off to make my grocery list.

I'm coming back...

My back water arrived today and I will be loading this weekend I believe. If I don't it will be next Mon & Tues. I've been on atkins and fell off the wagon for a bit. I guess I got spoiled with the quick results of HCG. So, My plan it to do a short round for 21 days then P3 for 14 days and back to cycle until I get back where I was.

I'm changing a few things this time around. I'm going to try the diet with more cals 600-700. I'm going to eat a bowl of cereal for breakfast and I'm using Lean Cuisines. I have tried breakfast before, 3 meals per day, and it worked for me. I have tried LC but I have to be carefule which ones I pick. I didn't eat them everyday but this time around I'm eating them at least once a day to make my life easier. The new ones don't have any preservatives.

I think I mentioned in past blogs that I eat PB & J on whole grain bread and I pretzels. They work for me but not everyone. I'm essentially doing the diet I got from my dr to use with phentermine but I'm using it with HCG. We will see how it goes.
